Meet our Founder
Michelle Karp
Michelle Karp is a human-centric leader specializing in problem-solving, relationship-building, and performance excellence. She has a knack for evaluating situations, quickly determining bottlenecks, and finding sustainable solutions.
Tapping into her years of strategy consulting and building and nurturing organizations, she provides services through her consulting company, M Karp Consulting. Michelle develops strategies and programs that grow or transform businesses through the intentional alignment of people with company values.
Before founding M Karp Consulting, Michelle was the Chief Operating Officer for Sterling Associates, a boutique consulting firm. She spearheaded culture, human resource administration, recruiting, project staffing, and performance management initiatives. During her tenure at Sterling Associates, Michelle orchestrated and assimilated a 16% growth in headcount. As COO, she was instrumental in tackling internal and client-facing processes and structural aspects of the company’s go-to-market and delivery capabilities.
Michelle’s consulting impact began at the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. She collaborated with C-suite executives and led consulting teams on healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and logistics engagements. Michelle focused on building relationships, developing strategies, working across diverse industries with diverse people, and combining her scientific, analytical, and teaching background to help organizations excel.
Michelle earned a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, a Master of Education from Boston College in Boston, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Miami University in Oxford, OH.
In addition to being a business consultant, Michelle is an avid traveler, having lived abroad as a child and spent a year traveling internationally with her husband. She is a regular board game player (and winner!) and is enthralled by science fiction and fantasy books. In addition, Michelle takes great pride in being a Mom to three curious, dynamic, and active daughters.
